Tektronix and CableLabs® Host International Telecommunications Union Discussion on Standards for Cable Television
Video Quality Committee to Meet on Tektronix Campus

Tektronix, Inc. and Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs®) today announced they are co-hosting a meeting of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Study Group 9 will discuss standards dealing with cable and broadcast television distribution over traditional telecommunication networks. The meeting will be held from November 6, 2000 to November 10 at Tektronix' Beaverton, Oregon campus.

Among the topics to be considered are video quality measurements, network distribution services, and application programming interfaces (APIs) for advanced cable TV distribution.
