Tektronix, Inc. , an industry-leading test, measurement and monitoring company, announced today that it hit the top ten on the eWEEK FastTrack 500 list of innovators in e-business. Sharing the ranks with FedEx, Chase Manhattan and Motorola, Tektronix was the only company in its industry to make the list, moving up from 59 in 1999 to place tenth in the 2000 listing.
eWEEK FastTrack 500 determinations as based on two factors: a company's predisposition for investing in cutting-edge e-business technologies and the robustness of the company's online presence. Of the list's top ten, all are classic brick-and-mortar companies who have taken a leadership position in e-commerce. The magazine reports, "... in the long run, the e-business winners are likely to be established enterprises that find a way to integrate the Internet into existing channels of distribution."
