Tektronix, Inc. , a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that it has received a STAR Award for 2007 from the Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA), the largest and most influential association for technology service and support professionals, and the creators of Value-Added Support(SM). The STAR Awards recognize technology companies that display exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to service excellence. This marks the second consecutive year that Tektronix has received this recognition. Other recipients of the 2007 award include Approva, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, SAP, StoresOnline, Symantec, and Xerox.
The SSPA STAR Awards were initially awarded in 1989 and have become one of the highest honors in the service and support industry. The judging committee included members of the SSPA Advisory Board. Companies were evaluated on criteria including description of overall support model, the nature and types of assisted support offered, the nature and types of non-assisted support offered, key performance metrics, and customer satisfaction results and methodologies. Tektronix was the only test and measurement industry firm that received a SSPA STAR Award for service and support delivery.
"The STAR Awards recognize technology companies that have set the standard for the industry by delivering service excellence to their customers," said Stephen Smith, executive director, SSPA. "The award reflects peer recognition, indicating that Tektronix and the other award recipients provide impressive dedication to service quality."
Tektronix provides our customers with world class repair and calibration services for their entire portfolio of test and measurement equipment. With flexible service plans, a global presence, onsite calibration of instruments from multiple vendors, and an experienced service and metrology team, Tektronix is uniquely able to maintain the performance and accuracy of test instruments required to meet the challenges of today's high speed digital designs.
Tektronix won for the category of Complex Support which is presented to the company that delivers sophisticated technical support for complex applications in mixed or otherwise complex environments, typically engineering and scientific fields. Tektronix was recognized for deploying senior level technical support representatives with advanced degrees who were able to interface well with senior level customers.
"We are honored to be recognized by SSPA for a STAR Award for a second time," said Steve Aleshire, Vice President, Customer Service, Tektronix, Inc. "The award validates what our customers know, that customer service and support is a key priority at Tektronix. We will continue to work hard to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction."
