Tektronix Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Named a Finalist for Elektra Awards 2007
MSO4000 Nominated in 'Design and Test Product of the Year' Category

Tektronix, Inc. , a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that its MSO4000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope has been short listed as a finalist in the Design & Test Product of the Year category of the Elektra 07 Awards, organized by Electronics Weekly.

Launched in April 2007, the MSO4000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope for embedded design and debug combines three powerful capabilities -- the breakthrough Wave Inspector waveform search engine, an advanced real -- time oscilloscope and basic logic analyzer capabilities. These allow engineers to conveniently visualize and correlate analog and digital signals on a single instrument. The MSO4000 family includes four models ranging from 350MHz to 1 GHz, with two or four analog channels and 16 digital channels to provide up to 20 time-correlated channels. More information about the MSO4000 can be viewed at: http://www.tek.com/products/oscilloscopes/mso4000/index.html.

Now in their fifth year, the Elektra Awards recognize the achievements of companies across the European electronics industry. The awards are designed to promote best practice in key areas including customer care, sales growth, and innovation and employee motivation. The winners will be announced at a Gala dinner on the 12th December 2007 in London.

"This is the first year we will have a dedicated category to recognize the most innovative design or test system launched within the last 12 months," said Richard Wilson, editor of Electronics Weekly. "The Tektronix MSO4000 impressed the judges and earned its place on the shortlist."

"Being nominated for one of the most prestigious technology awards in Europe highlights the excellence of the MSO4000," said Bob Bluhm, Vice President and General Manager, Value Scope Product Line, Tektronix. "The MSO4000 sets a new benchmark for performance and usability and raises the bar for mixed signal oscilloscopes."

The Elektra 07 Awards has received a record number of entries this year making it more competitive than ever. Each of the 14 categories is judged by its own panel which consists of four people with the selected industry expertise and a representative from the category sponsor.
