Tektronix DSA70000 Digital Serial Analyzer Wins 2008 Test & Measurement World 'Best in Test' Award
DSA70000 Oscilloscope A Finalist for 'Test Product of the Year'; MSO4000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Receives Honorable Mention

Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that two of its products were selected by the editors of Test & Measurement World magazine for its Best in Test 2008 industry awards. The DSA70000 Digital Serial Analyzer has received a Best in Test Award -- one of 12 receiving the honor and making it a finalist for Test Product of the Year 2008. In addition, the MSO4000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Series received an honorable mention. The awards honor products that have brought a significant technical advancement to the test industry.

The DSA70000 is now a finalist for the 2008 "Test Product of the Year" award, which will be determined by the magazine's readers, as determined by their online votes between now and February 15, 2008. Ballots are available online at http://www.tmworld.com/awards.

"The ability to accurately debug, characterize and test high speed serial electrical designs is a difficult challenge and an important need that engineers face repeatedly, especially with today's high-speed serial data signals," said Rick Nelson, Test & Measurement World chief editor. "Our editorial panel recognized that The DSA70000 is a key product introduced during 2007 that addresses the challenges of these rigorous testing problems. We were pleased to select the DSA70000 as one of the year's 12 'Best in Test' products."

"Receiving such high recognition from editors with whom we and our competitors work each year is indeed an honor," said Brian Reich, vice president, Performance Oscilloscopes, Tektronix. "We are pleased that the editors of Test & Measurement World magazine chose the DSA70000 as one of this year's most significant introductions. The DSA70000 is the industry's fastest real-time oscilloscope, designed to meet to engineers' needs from debugging their high speed serial data designs to the compliance test of their final product."

About The DSA70000

With a record breaking 20 GHz real-time bandwidth, 50 GS/s simultaneous sample rate on all four channels, and 200M memory on all four channels, the DSA70000 Digital Serial Analyzer is the industry's fastest ultra-high performance oscilloscope. The DSA70000 series includes multiple oscilloscope models spanning three tiers: 12.5 GHz DSA71254, 16 GHz DSA71604, and 20 GHz DSA72004 that accurately and repeatedly capture the frequency harmonics of high-speed serial data signals. The DSA70000 is ideal for testing high-speed serial designs while also providing the best solution for debugging, characterizing, and testing all electrical designs.

About the MSO4000

The new MSO4000 family of mixed-signal oscilloscopes is an all-in-one mixed signal design validation and debug tool for designers of embedded systems. The MSO4000 combines three powerful capabilities -- an advanced real-time oscilloscope and logic analyzer, and the breakthrough Wave Inspector waveform search engine. It features two or four analog channels and 16 digital channels to provide up to 20 time-correlated channels, long-record length on all channels, comprehensive support for monitoring, triggering, and decoding parallel and serial buses, and industry-best price/performance for a MSO.
