Tektronix Cerify Developer Community Welcomes Dolby Laboratories
Community for Video File-Based Quality Assurance Gains Momentum

Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that Dolby Laboratories, Inc. has joined the Tektronix Cerify Developers Community. The goal of the Community is to promote the use of automated Quality Control of file-based video by making Cerify integration, installation and support easier and faster for customers and third parties. Dolby and Tektronix are working together to integrate Cerify with the award-winning Dolby® DP600 and DP600-C Program Optimizer products that provide innovative solutions to audio and loudness concerns for cable, satellite, IPTV, and terrestrial TV broadcasters working in a file-based environment.

Cerify (http://www.tektronix.com/cerify) is the world's first fully automated system capable of verifying the quality of file-based, compressed digital video and audio content prior to transmission or use. The Community is an expanding group of companies who have been working together to help broadcasters maximize the benefits of moving to a file-based workflow. The Community consists of automation system vendors, vendors of asset management systems, video server providers, and system integrators. Ten companies are currently members including: Blue Order, CEI, Dolby Laboratories, IMAKE Software, Omneon, Pro-Bel, S4M, ScheduALL, Telestream, and Thomson.

Pro-Bel, a leading supplier of broadcast automation, infrastructure and control technology has worked with Tektronix to develop an integrated video quality and broadcast management system comprised of Tektronix Cerify and Pro-Bel's Morpheus Quality Control (QC) Manager. The integration is achieved through use of the CeriTalk™ Application Program Interface (API), part of the Tektronix Cerify automated quality control systems. The combined systems provide the seamless management of ingest and transfer of assets in the broadcast workflow.
