About the TLA7SAXX Series Logic Protocol Analyzer for PCI Express 3.0
Testing challenges in PCI Express can come from any of the layers of the PCIe protocol stack, whether it is the transaction layer or the PHY layer. Previously, engineers needed an oscilloscope and a protocol analyzer to perform the necessary testing. The TLA7SAxx Series logic protocol analyzer for PCI Express 3.0 is designed as a single tool to cover the protocol layer to the physical layer. It helps system, hardware, and software engineers perform collaborative debug and quickly root cause system issues. To enhance the physical layer visibility on the TLA7SAxx, Tektronix incorporated its OpenEYE technology into the system’s design. OpenEYE provides automatic tuning equalization to enable a more rapid evaluation of the PCI Express Channel’s physical-layer performance without a deep knowledge of oscilloscope setup experience.
