This upgrade has proven particularly important this year as Sentry is the only scalable and cost-effective monitoring solution that addresses the requirements of the Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation (CALM) Act. The CALM Act would require video service providers to ensure that commercials be no louder than the programs they accompany. The CALM Act has been passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate Commerce Committee, and is currently with the full U.S. Senate where passage is expected.
