BRACKNELL, UK, November 6, 2009 – Tektronix, a leading, worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, today announced that it has added a new Russian user interface to the popular TDS1000B and TDS2000B Series of digital storage oscilloscopes. The new interface (available as a firmware update v22.11 RUS) will allow Russian engineers to debug and validate their designs more quickly and efficiently, and will now make it even easier for students to learn the basics of test and measurement using the TDS1000B and TDS2000B. The new firmware also features improved flash drive support (with maximum capacity increased to 64GB) and full-record RMS measurement.
With up to 200 MHz bandwidth, 2 GS/s maximum sample rate per channel and USB flash drive and device ports, the 2- and 4-channel TDS1000B and TDS2000B Series oscilloscopes offer unprecedented value, and are designed to simplify configuration, testing and documentation for design and test engineers. Both the TDS1000B and TDS2000B Series are priced to meet the budget constraints of users with applications as varied as design and debug of embedded systems, education, basic electronic repair and automated production test. The ultra-lightweight, portable package also saves valuable space on the engineer's bench, and makes these instruments ideal for use by service and repair technicians in the field.
“It is no coincidence that theTDS1000B and TDS2000B Series are so popular in the industry; since their launch in 2006, these models have proved their value in a wide range of applications to engineers all over the world,” said Bob Bluhm, Vice President, Value Scope Product Line, Tektronix. “As the leading provider of high-quality oscilloscopes, we are very pleased to be able to offer a specialised Russian user interface for these products, and we believe that this addition will help our Russian customers to greatly increase their productivity.”
Fast and Simple: Capture, Analyse and Share Measurement Results
The TDS1000B and TDS2000B Series provide three different ways for engineers to quickly and easily capture measurement results. A front panel USB host port conveniently allows an engineering technician at a job site to use a USB flash drive to capture waveform data, waveform images, and instrument setups. At the bench, seamless oscilloscope-to-PC connectivity using the USB device port and a choice of two industry leading PC communications software packages (Tektronix OpenChoice PC Communication software and NI LabVIEW SignalExpressTM TE interactive measurement software) simplifies capturing, analysing and sharing measurements. The USB device port can also be used for printing with any PictBridge compatible printer, enabling fast printing at the push of one button.
The new Russian User Interface is available as a free firmware update which is available to download at www.tek.com/software. Simply change the website language to Russian (using the drop-down box at the top right of the page), then type v22.11 RUS into the search box and click on the link to download the firmware. For instructions on how to install firmware updates, please consult your TDS1000B / TDS2000B Series User Manual.
