BEAVERTON, Ore, April 3, 2009 - Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced today that the DPO3000 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope has won first prize in the Test and Measurement Category of the E&E “Best Product Awards.” The awards, which have been running since 2005, give readers the opportunity to cast their vote for the best product. The DPO3000 was short listed for the award as a result of its outstanding popularity on the E&E website.
The ‘E&E Best Product Award’ certificate was presented by Michael Brunn, Editor-in-Chief, E&E, at Embedded World on March 5th, 2009, where Tektronix showcased some of its latest products such as the new DPO/MSO2000 Series of Digital Phosphor and Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes, which have been designed to offer engineers a comprehensive set of tools to simplify serial and mixed signal debug at entry level price.
“We were absolutely delighted to learn that the DPO3000 has won this prestigious award,” said Dave Ireland, marketing manager, Tektronix. “At Tektronix we set extremely high standards for innovation and quality because we recognize that this is what our customers both expect and deserve. To receive such positive feedback from the E&E readership is very rewarding indeed.”
Also in the booth at Embedded World was the new DPO70000B Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope (DPO) and DSA70000B Digital Serial Analyzer (DSA) Series. Already offering the highest available bandwidth for real-time oscilloscopes, and with an industry-best jitter noise floor, the new “B” models now also provide the best vertical noise performance, flattest frequency response, and greatest effective number of bits (ENOB). The DPO/DSA70000B Series offer the best signal fidelity and higher bandwidth than any alternative oscilloscopes. Adding to the leading Pinpoint™ Trigger system, the new models alsoprovide the fastest available hardware-based pattern triggering for advanced serial data bus speeds at rates up to 5 Gb/s.
About the DPO3000
The DPO3000 digital phosphor oscilloscopes provide triggering and decode support for the most popular serial buses used in embedded applications. The DPO3000 simplifies debug and sets new standards for performance, value, and ease-of-use. The DPO3000 oscilloscope family consists of six models, ranging from 100 MHz to 500 MHz. All models provide 2.5 GS/s sampling with >5x oversampling on all channels.
