Free Seminar Provides Attendees with Access to Expertise on the Transition to Digital Technology

BRACKNELL, UK, March 9, 2009 – Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation has announced a series of free seminars addressing the major challenges facing the broadcast industry today. Online registration for people wishing to attend a Vision09 seminar is now open for seminars in London, Paris, Hamburg, Cologne, Mainz, Munich, Milan and Rome.

Since 2003, when the first annual Vision seminar for Broadcast Professionals in Europe was held, Tektronix has provided knowledge and expertise to help the industry tackle major technology transitions such as the delivery of H.264 to the home, COFDM and DVB-T deployments, the transition to HD, and many others — the 7th annual seminars for 2009 will continue this tradition.

This year at Vision09 Tektronix experts will address technical challenges including the monitoring of audio loudness and Dolby® E guardband and Audio/Video delay measurement.  There will be a session on how to create reliable workflows when working exclusively with file-based media. Finally, a session on picture quality measurements will describe effective techniques to assess the quality of moving images in the midst of the transition to HD.

Each day-long seminar will close with a preview on the product introductions Tektronix will showcase at NAB 2009. If you are interested in attending one of these free of charge seminars, please register online.
