BEAVERTON, Ore., April 16, 2007 - Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE: TEK), a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, and ScheduALL, a leading supplier of broadcast work-flow management solutions have integrated Tektronix Cerify automated quality control and ScheduALL's operations and content workflow management. The integrated systems will be demonstrated at NAB 2007. The integration is performed using the CeriTalk™ application programming interface (API), part of Cerify V3.0 and Cerify 200.
ScheduALL is a complete operations workflow management solution designed to meet the fast-paced resource scheduling and business needs of broadcast, post-production and production industries. The CeriTalk Application Program Interface (API) provides integration of Cerify with the management system. This allows the management system to talk directly to Cerify, receive the detailed results of all tests performed and manage the file depending on the results obtained from Cerify.
"Broadcasters increasingly rely on operations and content workflow management systems for control of their business and operations processes," said Rick Legow, President ScheduALL Software. "Until now, video quality control has had to rely on human intervention to carry out the testing and input the results. The integration of Tektronix' Cerify automatic quality control system with ScheduALL fills the missing link in the automation chain."
Cerify V3.0 and Cerify 200 include the CeriTalk API that provides standards compliant XML based integration of Cerify with video broadcast management systems. Testing can be initiated by the management system placing files in one or several hot folders on the video server network and receiving results from Cerify via XML report files. The ScheduALL management system interface links directly to Cerify web-based user interface so that users can drill down to view the file details and information about any quality errors and their exact location in the file.
"We're pleased to be working closely with ScheduALL to provide a complete management system for broadcasters," said Todd Biddle, Vice President, Video Products, Tektronix. "The integration of Tektronix Cerify automatic quality control and ScheduALL's workflow management system provides our joint customers with the ability to automatically and more effectively manage their broadcast operations and content delivery."
Tektronix' Cerify is the leading automatic quality control systems for file based video. Launched at NAB 2006 Cerify has already been selected by major broadcasters in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia, and provides fully automated 24/7 QC with user definable test templates that allow consistent and objective measurement of conformance to the allowable quality standards for specific content type and transmission channels.
