SUNNYVALE, CALIF. - May 24, 2006 - Tzero Technologies, the only IC supplier that enables broadcast quality video over wireless networks, announced that it is working with Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE: TEK), a leading, worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation to establish a gold standard for ultra wideband (UWB) testing. The effort between Tzero and Tektronix, including new test methodologies and tools for WiMedia physical layer (PHY) validation, will ensure that commercially available UWB products meet the higher level of performance and reliability required to support wireless multimedia communications. With tested, proven UWB offerings, the industry will be able to achieve high-volume production across a variety of end-user products, including consumer electronics, computers and hand-held devices.
The work of the two companies will be on display at the upcoming Wireless USB Developers Conference in San Jose, California beginning on June 20, 2006. At this conference, Tektronix will be demonstrating its UWB test equipment including the 15 GHz real-time TDS6154C oscilloscope using Tzero's UWB chipset as the target device under test. Transmit signal quality - as measured by error vector magnitude (EVM) - is needed for a strong, high data rate UWB link. Tzero and Tektronix are able to accurately measure and validate EVM. WiMedia specifications require EVM for the transmit signal of equal to or better than -19.5 dB. The Tzero chipset demonstrates industry leading EVM numbers of -26dB for 53.3Mb/s and 80Mb/s, and -23dB for higher data rates.

Tektronix TDS6154C Wideband DSO Sets the Standard for Signal Quality Measurements
Ensuring accurate measurements on high quality signals requires the test equipment to exceed the chipset EVM spec by at least 6 dB. The Tektronix TDS6154C running a MATLAB based EVM algorithm demonstrates EVM values of less than -30dB with a calibrated source, providing the most accurate tool for EVM in the industry. The 15GHz performance of the TDS6154C also provides adequate bandwidth for testing even the highest band groups in UWB that can range up to 10.6GHz in some standards.
